Movies in the Mines – Knox Mine Disaster Film

Experience a truly unique opportunity to watch the Knox Mine Disaster Film from inside a coal mine! This will take place during anthracite history month on Jan 17th, within the Brooks Mine in Nay Aug Park, Scranton PA. Although closed for the season, we will be opening the mine for this special opportunity. Showings will take place rain, snow or shine, as there are no issues with weather underground! The mine will likely be warmer than the temperature outside, but still recommend to wear layers for comfort. The film is 1.5 hours, and will be followed by some time for Q&A and to walk around the mine. Popcorn and drink included with ticket purchase! Seats for the event are limited, ticket required in advance. No tickets available day of the event.
